She is associate professor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. As a full-time ESL/ESOL teacher, she has taught many subjects, including Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Business English, and English Literature. Currently she teaches Academic English. Meantime she has developed broad interests on teaching, literature, culture, and translation. She is one of the editors of textbook Integrated skills for Graduates (ME) (2005) and principle reviewer of textbook College English Translation Course (Chinese-English & English –Chinese) (2009). She has translated three books from English to Chinese, including Pomegranate Seed (novel) (1997), The wind of Willows (novel) (2005), The Idea of University Chicago (monograph) (2009), and a few articles for different magazines. She has also published some journal articles on American literature, teaching, and comparative study of Chinese and Western cultures.
